Equipment Officer

Qualification: None required.

Role: Maintain the club’s equipment to a safe standard, and ensure items are securely stored.

Duties: Maintain a full inventory of boats and equipment owned by the club.

Carry out periodic checks to ensure the equipment is safe to use.

Make recommendations to the Committee regarding the sale and purchase of equipment.

Hire equipment out to Club members, collect remittance due and pass this to the Treasurer.

Help with the transportation of club equipment to events from time to time.

Qualities: Good knowledge of the types of equipment used for canoeing, and how this can be maintained and repaired.
