We hold a range of events to appeal to different abilities and interests.  A full calendar of events is sent out to all club members and is published three times a year.

Pool Sessions

From September to April we hold sessions at Fearnville Leisure Centre, so that you can learn to paddle in the warmth of the swimming pool. For more details, see Pool Sessions.

Roundhay Park

White Rose Canoe Club has also negotiated the use of Roundhay Park Lake in Leeds at set times for club members and events only. 'Come and Try' sessions are held regularly at Roundhay Park, so that potential members can view our facilities and have a go at canoeing. For more details, watch the News page or see the Events calendar.

Competitions

The club has an active canoe polo session that trains twice a week and has three teams competiting in local and national leagues.  Several club members are on the Great Britain squad and play at international tournaments.  We support club  members who want to take part in other paddlesport disciplines, and youngsters have recently attended slalom, marathon and wavehopper (wild water racing) events.

River Trips

As well as regular sessions in the pool and at Roundhay Park, club members regularly take part in river trips, competitions and weekends away. During the summer, we hold a local river trip on most Wednesday evenings, often to the river Wharfe at Collingham.
