Club Treasurer Role Description



No formal qualification required


Control the finances of the Club and maintain membership records.


Pay invoices / expenses where owed

Keep up to date records of income and expenditure

Issue invoices and receipts

Provide regular financial reports to the Executive Committee

Pay cash and cheques in to the Club bank account

Prepare end of year accounts and ensures books are audited annually

Maintain membership database, and issue membership cards and renewal notices

Liase with the Sports Centre regarding pool bookings

Organise payment of BCU affiliation fees


Must be numerate and financially aware


Access to a PC essential

Knowledge of Excel and Access an advantage

Time Commitment

1-2 hours per week
